FINALLY a new update & announcement!

I know, I know it has been awhile since I last posted pictures! Well hopefully our new announcement was worth the wait.....
We're having a BABY!!!!!!! Yeah!!!! We visited my doctor today and got to hear its wonderful heartbeat. It was a little hard to find so they did an ultrasound. I'm a little over 3 months and am due August 8th (8/8/08). Yes we are going to find out if it's a boy or girl but you still have to wait 6 more weeks for that! Jason and I are thrilled to have a new little set of fingers, toes, and cheeks to squeeze. Of course Noah doesn't understand any of it. However, we did find out he hates going to the doctor with me. Sadly I think he believes the heart monitor and ultrasound machine are hurting me. The baby looks healthy and thankfully there's only one in there. I on the other hand, am miserable! Nausea, dizziness, and fatigue consume my days. It's hard to adjust to being pregnant again especially when I didn't have any morning sickness with Noah. I know, I've heard it before then that must mean I'm having a girl! We'll just have to wait and see. Jason and I would be happy for a healthy baby and a much easier labor.
Here's a profile picture of the baby and a face shot.
So that's our exciting news! Other than that we've been trying to manage with the heavy snowfall we just got. This past weekend brought us 17 inches of snow and a power outage for 5 1/2 hours! Lots of fun with no heat, no hot water, no electricity, and a 13 month old! This is the worst winter Spokane has had since 1994. (I think Washington just really wanted to welcome us Californians!)
I hope everyone is doing well and we'd love to hear from you! Oh and no need to remind us of the wonderful 60 degree sunshine filled days California's having, my mom reminds me of that everyday!
Miss and love you all!

My Family's Visit

My family was able to come see us for a late Christmas and Noah's first birthday. The boys had such a good time together. Opening presents, wrestling, and playing in the snow. I tried attaching as many pictures as possible. Sorry they're so small...
Nathan was so excited to see the snow he threw his snow boots on and went outside in his PJ's. He was amazed how he could see his own footprint!
He loved sledding (even though he was always curled in a ball and never looked up) but I think he enjoyed eating the snow more! Of course a good snowball fight with Grammy is always fun too.
My sister even got in on all the sledding fun!
My Dad enjoyed the snow as long as the wind didn't pick up. Trust me there is a smile in there!
Even though we all had an amazing time, saying good-bye is the hardest part. Thankfully Santa brought us each a Web cam so as soon as we figure out how to work them we have another way of saying hello to family!

Noah's 1st Christmas & 1st Birthday

Well what can I say, we made is through our first Christmas in Washington and Noah's first birthday. Christmas for us was very quiet. Opening presents, playing with new toys, and lounging in our PJ's all day was our extent of excitement. Surprisingly, I don't think Noah really enjoyed opening presents. After opening the first present, he wanted to play with the toy instead of opening more. Needless to say, Jason and I did most of the unwrapping. For Noah's birthday we were very excited to have my parents, sister, and nephew in town. We took a boat cruise in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to look at Christmas lights and lots of cake and ice cream. Again very surprisingly, Noah did not like his cake or ice cream. We had a great time! It's just hard to believe he's already one. He started walking the night my family flew in and hasn't slowed down since. We're still working hard on words, so far everything's dada with an occasional mama. He does jabber a ton though. He loves to walk around with the phone up to his ear like he's talking to someone. Funny enough, he doesn't repeat the words we say but he will repeat the same amount of syllables. We're still working on teeth (which makes for lovely nights!!!) So far he has four on top and two on the bottom. He has a huge gap between his two front teeth which is adorable! Of course more to come but I wanted to share our Christmas and Noah's first birthday.
